Muay Thai

I recently started training in Muay Thai; basically Thai kickboxing. It's a pretty intense sport and those who're looking for more flexibility, composure and balance should seriously consider learning it. I know what you're thinking: another Contender wannabe! Here's what I've learnt about martial arts based on my limited experience. It seems counter-intuitive but generally, practitioners of any form of martial arts seem to have a lot more respect for their abilities and the people they engage than your regular joe or fight-buff. I guess this humility comes from the knowledge of the destructive power in a person's hands. You can catch a glimpse of this even in cut-throat competitions like the Contender. It's just a humbling experience.
